SILICON SHEET PROFILES AND ROD

Category:

Description

Silicone rubber is physiologically inert, thus making it the preferred choice of medical, pharmaceutical and food processing industries. Silicone have comparatively low mechanical properties, tensile strength, elongation and tear strength, however they keep constant even at high temperatures but should not be used with high- pressure steam. Its resistance to oil and hydrocarbon products is fairly limited and similar to that of Chloroprene rubbers. Reasonable resistance to a whole range of general chemical products, but acids, alkalis, esters and kerosene should be avoided. Silicone has excellent resistance to heat (dry air), at +200°C intermittent. It remains flexible at low temperatures of -70°C and it is also resistant to ultra-violent light, Ozone and weathering. Exhibits low inflammability and low smoke toxicity. It has good electrical insulation properties.

TUBES

The silicon tubings we offer are manufactured using qualitative material sourced from reliable vendors. These tubings find extensive application in various industries and have gained tremendous appreciation in the market for their host of qualitative features. These are available in different specifications and can be customized as per clients’ requirement.

SILICONE RUBBER TUBES AND HOSES

Dataseal India Silicone Tubing is a product manufactured from silicone rubber .This tubes are used in a wide range of industries including Food , Automotive, Electronic Telecommunications, Chemical, Medical and Biotechnology sector. Silicone Rubber tubing is available in many distinct grades and configuration hence basically classified in thre groups: MEDICAL / FOOD GRADE ( Platinum Cured Silicone Tubings ) , HIGH PRESSURE and GENERAL PURPOSE.

PROPERTIES OF SILICONE TUBES:
• Some of the most distinguishing properties of the silicone tubes and hoses are:
• They are hydrophobic.
• They are highly flexible
• They are reusable after repeated sterilization.
• Translucent in color.
• They odorless, tasteless and inert.
• The tubes are non-toxic and have FDA approval for the use in the food industry.
• They are non reactive to body fluids and tissues.
• They are able to resist high levels of temperature ranging between -660 C to +2500 C
• They have excellent weathering properties and resist UV, ozone, gases, moisture and extreme temperatures.

GENERAL PURPOSE TUBES
The general purpose tubes and hoses are used for the general purposes which do not require high range of purity of the compound. These are mostly used in many domestic appliances and in the workshops or hobby applications because of their excellent flexibility.

MEDICAL/FOOD GRADE TUBES
These are specially designed hoses and tubes which are made in a manner so that they do not react with any medical or food material. They are sterilized in standard autoclaves in order to make them fit for the application in which they come in close contact with the food ingredients, body tissues and fluids or sensitive drugs. In this particular type of tubing the manufactured silicone tubes and hoses are completely tasteless, odorless, and non-toxic with a special property which does not support bacterial growth.
The purity of medical grade is achieved by the process called platinum curing which is done before turning the rubber compound into hoses or tubes.

HIGH PRESSURE TUBES
The high pressure tubes and hoses are made by strengthening their composition with wire or polyester braids which combats expansion and flattening. These tubes are mostly used when then the tubes are in direct contact with pressurized gases or suction is conducted. However, sharp edged clamps and fitting should be avoided near the tubes as they have low tensile strength and resistance to steam which may cause excessive wear and tear.
In these tubing high levels of purity is maintained due to its exclusive application in the biochemical industry. The other properties that enable their use in high pressure setting are their tendency to regain their original shape, good resistance to temperature and ageing.

USES OF SILICONE TUBES IN THE INDUSTRIAL SECTOR
Silicone has a multiple usage in the industrial sector because of its excellent properties and types which provide a very wide area for functioning. Some of these uses are:
Medical equipments seals and tubes
 Architectural and window seals
• High voltage insulation
• Electrical connectors seals and sheathes
Electrical and food processing equipment seals and washers
• Aerospace and military fluid conveyance
• Outdoor electrical enclosures
 Water purification tubes
 Dairy fluid handling tubes
• Small appliance heater tubes
 Optical surgery drains
• Composite thermoforming
